All it takes is that first step

Enjoy miles of beautiful hikes on and around Penns Creek

Whether you are a serious hiker or simply want some exercise, Penns Creek offers great hiking for every fitness level and family member. The creek winds its way through Bald Eagle State Park, a 193,000 acre national treasure that transverses Snyder, Union, Centre, Mifflin and Clinton Counties.

Hiking, mountain biking, ATV and snowmobile trails are etched throughout the forest with way too many to mention here. The best way to see what’s in store is to click here. And then zoom in. There are literally 5 to 10 trails within five to six miles of Oakwood on Penns Creek, some starting as close as Camp Karoondinha.
